FAQ
About BÖLLE and the Camps
What is BÖLLE?
BÖLLE is the largest basketball community in Switzerland and organizes high-quality basketball camps for children and young people, focusing on athletic development, imparting values, and sustainable support.
In addition to its work in Switzerland, BÖLLE is also involved in humanitarian projects, particularly through basketball-related educational and infrastructure projects in West Africa, to provide children and young people with sustainable opportunities.
Who are the BÖLLE Camps for?
The camps are designed for children and teenagers aged 8 to 18, for girls and boys, regardless of their experience level, from beginners to ambitious club players.
Is BÖLLE a basketball club?
No. BÖLLE is not a basketball club and does not offer league play or annual memberships. The camps are designed as supplementary training to club basketball and are also suitable for beginners. For particularly ambitious and advanced participants, BÖLLE also offers PRO Camps with a higher performance standard.
Which age groups can participate?
Generally, children and teenagers aged 8 to 18 years participate in the camps. The coaches form groups based on age and skill level. If friends wish to participate together, we try to accommodate this, provided it is logistically possible.
Does my child need prior basketball experience?
No. The training sessions are structured by age and performance level. Motivation, willingness to learn, and enjoyment of the game are more crucial than prior experience.
Are there also camps for very advanced players?
Yes. BÖLLE PRO Camps are available for performance-oriented and advanced participants.
What are PRO Camps?
PRO Camps are specialized, performance-oriented training sessions for advanced players aged 15 and over. Exceptions are possible upon request. These sessions are shorter, more intense, and specifically geared towards preparing for high-performance or professional-level basketball.
What are the requirements for the PRO Camps?
Participation requires advanced basketball skills, high training motivation, and physical resilience. Suitability may be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What does BÖLLE stand for besides basketball?
BÖLLE stands for community, respect, hard work, and long-term impact. A portion of the work flows into social projects, particularly into engagement in Guinea.
Can BÖLLE be supported as a partner or sponsor?
Yes. We are open to long-term, meaningful partnerships, whether financial or content-related. Please feel free to contact us directly.

How much does a camp cost?
Prices vary depending on the camp, duration, and content. All costs are transparently listed on the respective camp page.

This depends on the specific camp. Details on food and beverages can be found in the camp description.

Yes. At many camps, participants receive BÖLLE shirts or other goodies. Merchandise is part of the camp experience.
Health, Insurance, and Safety
Who are the coaches?
The training sessions are led by experienced basketball players, former professionals, coaches, and specialists (e.g., athletic training, physiotherapy, mental training). Quality and role modeling are paramount.
Is my child insured during the camp?
Accident and liability insurance is the responsibility of the participants or their parents. BÖLLE ensures safe organization and supervision.
What happens in case of illness or injury?
In case of minor injuries, our coaches and on-site specialists will take care of them. Parents will be informed immediately if necessary.
